About Us

We are a faith community striving to practice the ways of Jesus and a Gospel-centered church passionate about spiritual growth. We are a multicultural and inter-generational body of Christ that is growing in our love for God, each other, our local community, and the world. Currently, we have services in both English (led by
Pastor Anh Truong and Pastor Chris Yen) and Cantonese (led by Pastor Patrick Chow).

Ministries

Community Groups

Trellis Bay Area has community groups for adults, both English and Cantonese, that meet regularly.

We have many community groups in different cities and stages of life. Give a community group a try and to see if it is for you.

Kindergarten-5th Grade

Trellis Kids is our Sunday School ministry for children from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Please join the Trellis Kids! Facebook Group for updates on upcoming activities.

IN-PERSON SUNDAY SCHOOL

For our in-person English services, children initially join the regular service with their families for musical worship, then go together with their teachers to the Sunday School classroom.

For children younger than kindergarten age, we have a self-serve nursery room available for parents. Parents are also welcome to keep them in service with them.

All volunteers working with our children have undergone background checks and are fingerprinted. We request that parents register their children with our program at their first visit.

6th-12th Grade

Opportunities to do life with our middle school to high school students are a gift! We welcome all students to join and be with us.

We have a Youth Service each Sunday for all students and a YO (Youth Outing) once a month. Please check our newsletters for dates and times.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does Trellis Bay Area mean?

The name Trellis is based on the concept that a trellis is the support system for the branches of a vine. It is a metaphor for the church family in the context of the Biblical vine and branches and a symbol for the idea of uplifting others in Christ, growth and flourishing/being fruitful. This embodies our humble hope to be a fruitful and authentic community.

  • Where can I contribute financially to Trellis?

Thanks for your stewardship and generosity. You can give financially towards the ministries of Trellis at our giving portal (click or head to https://donorbox.org/trellis-bay-area-general-fund).
